Happy Birthday Grandpa

Dad Turned 53 in Aug.

His birthday was full of delightful surprises.

Check out these two! She's barely knee high to a grasshopper and already they're best buds! I love it.

First dad opened a letter that was actually a treasure map!

So with mom as his navigator they began the adventure.

traversing dangerous wast lands and
treacherous terrains.

But never losing heart.

Here's the text of the treasure map, scavenger hunt:
We love you
Your Children, (and others) have
combined to give you the following gift:

"Go out the door down wooden planks.
Find Cement but not stone
where rabbits jump and poop goes plop
then look down where worms grow.
Now go deeper with sharp object."

Love you

Finally they reached the place where poop goes plop
And with sharp object did go deeper.

What did they find?
(Craig was quite fascinated by the way)

A hand bound document.

It was a colection of memories from children, family members and friends
Everyone had written memories of Dad and Angela had compiled them into a book.
Nephi (my brother) then bound the book, as he is so good at doing.

Father was delighted
He indeed found a treasure.

 Other highlights were:
 A cake.
Made out of... MUD

 Grandma bonding with Savannah

A birthday cake that gave off HEAT!
Notice how everyone is leaning away from it?

And one happy grandpa.
Happy Birthday dad!
Love you.

  1. I had heard the stories but it was very fun to see pictures of it! I admire you that are so talented at creating a picture trail. Awesome.
