Valentines Crafts

Last night I took an old dead potted plant, and turned it into a valentines day decoration! It was so much fun. I'm totally in the crafty mood now! (I do need to find different ribbon for it though :)

I have many projects up my sleeve and many more to come!

A warm day

Today was warm and sunny after over a week of dreary overcast or rainy days! (don't get me wrong I love the rain and it's a huge blessing. But it was fun to see the sun again.)

So Craig and I went out in the back yard and had fun cleaning up a bit. We acomplished quite a bit.

Craig:
Dug in the dirt
Found the "crunchy flowers" for mama.
Cut flower stems
Squished a slug
Played in a pile of leaves
helped scoop sand back INTO the sand box
Drove Mack EVERYWHERE.

Myself:
-Raked the leaves - there weren't that many but it's good to have them gone
-Trimmed ALL the flowers! - most of them are still alive! Almost all of the annuals that I thought for sure would die off have green sprouts starting at the bases. Some of the hardier ones even had blossoms!
-Pruned one tree
-Pulled everything out of the garden - No more dead tomatoes in the corner!
-Got most of the sand back into the sand box

K.C. (after school)
-Tilled all the dead plants into the garden area. - It's ready for planting again! Not sure when, or what but it's ready!

So now our backyard looks much better and it makes me feel like spring is just around the corner because of all the little green sprouts and growing things everywhere! I'm so excited! We might actually have grass to play on this year. (and mow) which means we'll probably end up needing to get a lawn mower one of these days.

A warm day

Christmas Pictures 09

Right before Christmas my brother Nephi left on him mission. This was the perfect excuse for all of us to get dressed up and have a family picture. I really need to get them all posted but for now here's my little family.

Where does your food go?

While we were in AZ Craig learned about where food goes. He wanted to have some candy and I told him that we needed to get some healthy food in his stomach first so that the candy didn't make him feel sick. He laughed and said

"No mama, it's in my mouth! Not my belly!"

So I proceded to tell him how the food gets into your belly. Now he loves to tell everyone where his food goes. It is so cute I wish that our video camera wasn't lame so I could get a video of it. Here's how it goes (including pointing):

"The food goes,
into my mouf,
down my froat,
into my belly,
into my testines
and into my diaper and it's called pee and poops!"

Had better days

Craig and I stayed home from church today because we're both feeling under the weather...

You're probably thinking that all I ever talk about is how I don't feel good, and your probably thinking that it's about time I had something else to say...

I agree! It's about time that I didn't feel like this so life could go back to normal! I've never had a cough for over 4 months before and I don't recommend it! It's not that I'm totally down and out, and things could definitely be worse but I'm still done with it!

Hopefully something miraculous happens and I'll start feeling GREAT in the next day or two

week 24

Apparently I didn't get around to taking pictures of week 22 and 23...

But here's the latest.

24 weeks along...

Stats.

You can go ahead a skip this part if you want to, but for my records I'm going to try to keep track of things a little better this go around!

Cough - Still going strong, actually it started to get worse several days ago and now I have a sore throat because of it! Grrr. And this morning I woke up feeling like I was going to get the flu again. thankfully most those symptoms calmed down already.

Siatic Nerve- I don't know if I'm just getting used to it or if it's getting better but I notice it less often. And I can lay on my back with a little less discomfort now.

Laying on side - Very painful without a pillow between my knees.

Clothing - finally had to break down and start wearing some of my maternity pants. But for the record... LOVE the bella band. It's been awesome.

Growing - (is that a delicate way of saying I'm getting fat? :) It depends on how you look at the whole weight gain thing. from my pre preggo weight I've gained almost ten pounds. But It feels like I've gained more than that because I lost some weight in my first trimester.

Morning sickness - doesn't seem to be an issue. (sweet)

Ligament cramping - It's hurts if I lift my legs wrong. Like standing on one leg to put a sock on - that results in falling on the floor. Or trying to stand up and take pants off... bad idea. very painful. I'm just not used to sitting down to do those things so I forget.

Prenatal results - everything is looking great.

I think that's most of it. 5 1/2 months down 3 1/2 to go!

Quarter of a Century!

On Jan 19th I turned 25 Years old.

Wow.

Is that enough said?

I was taken care of so well. I was sent to bed early the night before (early meaning 11:00) and when I woke up K.C. and Wanda had cleaned the entire house! Seriously it might not sound that exciting but It is a HUGE deal to me when my house is clean. It was wonderful! Thanks you guys!

Then Ang made me an awesome french toast breakfast with homemade syrup...Mmmmmm. Heaven.

Wanda gave me hair accessories that I LOVE!

Then we spent the bulk of the day working on "The Broken House" and I got a fabulous Pizza lunch over there and a very thoughtful gift from my Uncle Allen.

After many more hours of caulking baseboards Ang, Wanda, Julia and I went and picked out fabric for baby blankets! I'm so excited / nervous to make mine! I sincerely hope it turns out since I have no idea what I'm doing.

And then K.C. Got back from work and school and took me on a date / shopping trip with my birthday money. We ended up out at mom and dad's to pick up Craig and had some cake there. I was sure that was the end of the festivities but then I was blown away by a few more gifts! Everyone was so thoughtful. I have a great family.

Ammon gave me an elaborate box with messages saying...
"it's not a bathrobe..."
"it's not a snuggie..."
"it's a..."

I'm still not sure what it is! But it's very fancy and very warm! :)

Anyone know what the name of it would be?

And I got new hair cutting supplies! I'm so excited to use them!

Then last but not least K.C. framed a picture that we got of us on our cruise!
 What a sweet guy!

The Best Enemies

These two little guys can push each others' buttons to the max, but when Kale's not around Craig is constantly wondering where he is and asking to go find him. And when they are together they are practically inseparable.

Is this a best friend relationship in the making?

{I was trying to get this picture of Craig with his new tie on
and I didn't even notice what Kale was doing until just now!
Haha!
And that's why the table is covered with plastic!}

Train Shirt

Craig saw his cousin Kale wearing a shirt with a train on it so he came and told me he wanted to wear his train shirt....

He doesn't have one of those.

So I found one I didn't care about much and drew a train on it!

Problem solved! Sometimes I'm a clever mommy.

He LOVES that shirt now and asks to wear it almost every day.

I love his goofy little crooked grin. He makes me smile. Being a mom is definitely the best thing in the world. I love my boys.

Fun in Arizona / New Years

On New Years Eve all of the hunts decided to see who had the biggest butt. So out came the tape measure and everyone (most everyone) got to see where they ranked.

Where did that come from? Actually I think K.C. suggested it. Go figure :) But as this ulitmate display of what a nice little husband I have we all talked him into trying on some of Larissa's pants.

Larissa is his 14 year old sister and she wears size 2.

SIZE 2!

As you can see we were all cracking up! I'm pretty sure K.C. was crying.

Larissa and K.C.
The oldest boy and the youngest girl :)

It was awesome.

Then for some New Years Day excitement we all packed up early the next morning and went to Heber to play in the snow. It was so much fun to hang out with everyone and get to play.

  {I love that boy}

I was fully planning on joining in with the sledding but Craig fell asleep on me before we got to the hill and didn't wake up till we left, so I stayed in the truck with him.

Here's some of K.C.'s escapades in the snow.

Chasing it down the hill

After playing in the snow we went down to see the horses. Craig thought it was fun to have daddy feed them but he didn't like it when they got too close.

My Happy Family.

Here's hoping that 2010 is an awesome year!

Week 21

We went to AZ right after Christmas and this is new years day. Playin' in the snow. It reminded me that it's fun to visit the snow, but I don't enjoy living in it very much.

Christmas 2009

We woke up Christmas morning (Craig was in our bed by this time) so we told him it was Christmas and we were going to go have a party to celebrate Jesus' birthday.

Then we got his little nativity book out and read the Christmas story to him. When we asked if he wanted to go have a party and open presents he said, "Actually how 'bout we read the story again!" (got to love that little guy:)

So after reading it the second time he said "lets go open the presents like the wise men brought to Jesus!"

Here's our tree! I was happy that it turned out so well. (even though it did fall over in the middle of the night once!) This was the first time to use our decorations and never having seen them all together I wasn't sure how it was going to work out. But I love it. (and even now the end of January, it is still up:)

We had a wonderful time sharing our gifts.

Craig and Daddy both got Ties! Craig was so delighted to be just like daddy!

Ok so here's a funny story. K.C. likes this specific kind of chapstick (Xbalm) and is usually never without one. Well he ran out in October sometime (I'm sure it had nothing to do with Craig digging in it with his finger!) and we had not found that kind again.

So for Christmas I decided to get him some. I found an awesome deal and got a bunch for FREE and also my sister who I had told to look out for some got some for me before she new I'd got the other ones.

I ended up with 14 sticks to give him!

And since I wasn't able to get him very many other gifts this year I decided he needed more presents to open and wrapped each one individually :)

I didn't want it to be obvious what they were so I had to get very creative in my wrapping. Here's one of my favorites...

 (round tube)

"What!? Toilet paper?"
(I love his face, "you've got to be kidding me!")

I had wrapped it up in a wad of CLEAN toilet paper and stuffed it in the middle, then I filled the rest of the space up with more wads of toilet paper (all CLEAN mind you). But he still didn't want to touch them! At first he thought I'd just given him a roll of TP that had already been used. It took some convincing to get him to keep going :)

Finally found it!

Ahh good times!

And just to prove that I was there, here's one of me.

After all of that we headed out to my parents and after partying with them for a while we took off for AZ. Where we stayed till after new years.

What's a blog?

I feel like I haven't checked my email for months, or even thought about my blog or facebook or anything that has to do with a computer. This is good and bad. I just feel like since about Christmas I have been lost in time and each day has been full of things but not "my life" things. Things like, hardly ever being home, spending most of my time painting a house, or working on it in someway, traveling... Etc.

So here I am taking a deep breath. Unloading the 1000 pictures on my camera that haven't even been looked at yet, checking emails like mad, trying to figure out what I've missed in my absence and hoping that I am going to be re-entering 'semi normal life' mode again.

Chances are if anything important or exciting has happened in the last month unless you've told me about in person... I missed it. Sorry I wasn't ignoring you :) Chances are there will be a flood of updates and post pretty soon as I try to get up to date... But then again, who knows if I'll get around to it!
