Oh a nap.

I told Craig that if he woke up from his nap all dry he could put another sticker on his calendar. (He get's to put a sticker on each day to keep track of his dry days and when he's reached a certain goal he can earn a reward.) I'm hoping this helps him to SEE the goal he's working on instead of just knowing that it's some distant time in the future that seems like it will never come.

Currently he's working towards earning the Peterbuilt truck.

So when I reminded him about the sticker he said, "Oh after my nap."

I walked out of the room but hadn't got very far when I hear him say "mama turn the light off!"

He was laying in his bed with his covers all pulled up and his eyes squeezed shut! I had to convince him that the light was indeed off even though it was still light in the room. Then he had me go out and shut the door.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if nap time was like that every time!

Not unexpectedly he came running out a minute or two later exclaiming "I'm earning the Peterbuilt! I'm earning him!"

What is happening to the sky?

We were driving around today and Craig saw an airplane flying near the horizon and leaving a lovely long jet stream in the sunset.

He kept saying, "What is happening to the sky? What is happening to our sky?"

I tried and tried to explain that they were just leaving little trails in the sky that would go away soon. But he was very worried and kept asking what was happening. Finally he said.

"Mama those airplanes are just cracking our sky! They are Cracking it!"

We had a fun weekend. We went up to Provo for a Cub Scout reunion. It was lots of fun to remember everything we did at our training last year and to see familiar faces. The only down fall was that Craig started coughing a lot on the way up there and had a perpetually runny nose.

Week 31

I'm actually mostly on time with this post! Yay me!

Craig was standing by K.C. and very carefully doing what I was doing.
I love that kid.

Epiphanie

So I found out about this company Epiphanie that makes cute camera bags. I want one so bad! They are seriously adorable. But even more than that they are giving away a camera this week and I dearly want to win it.

Do I ever win things? No. Do I still try? Yes!

So I'm putting in my honest effort and seeing if by chance this could be my lucky week. Cross your fingers for me! I would be a happy happy girl if I ended up with a new camera!

Week 30

Only ten weeks left! (theoretically)

How is it possible that ten weeks seems so long and so short at the same time? I wonder if it's ever going to get here and at then again I'm starting to feel frantic to get everything done before it's too late! Funny, how time can do that.

Stats:
I had my prenatal a few weeks ago and everything was going good, baby is growing right on schedule and seems to be in good shape. I'm so grateful for that. It might not be fun to have all the rest of the side effects and things to deal with but it's all worth it if she just continues to be happy and healthy. So here's how things have been going:

Cough: Good news! (no it's not gone!) but it's not much of a cough anymore! Yipee! Still enough that I can't make it through sacrament meeting without causing several people to look at me like I should have stayed home. But not nearly as bad as it's been so I'm grateful for that.

Sciatic: More good news. during the day and walking around I'm in practically no pain. Sitting or lying down is still not fun and the last couple of days it's been mostly in my leg instead of my hip but still it's not constant and it's not unbearable so I count myself lucky.

Swelling: I hate to admit it but sadly it has begun. Yuck.

Braxton Hicks: Quite frequently, but I don't feel like I'm going to faint every time now so that's good funny how I don't think I ever had them with Craig and they are so common with this one.

Name: Settled! (Yeah right) so we're still undecided, but we're getting closer.

There you have it. My pregnancy week by week.

The things he says

Craig just came in to me and very sweetly tapped my arm and waited for me to look at him. Then in his sweetest most adorable voice he said:

"Mama, will you come in my bedroom and play all day with me like Mack?"

(This was obviously a completely serious and well thought out request.) Then he said.

"Just say 'SURE!'"

How can you resist cuteness like that?
