We're Alive!

I think there were some guardian angels out in force today! We had a little mishap with our car that could have turned into a BIG mishap. But all is well and we're OK (albeit quite a bit less in the pocket book!... wait, no one in this family has a pocket book, why do I come up with that? I guess it should say "a considerable dent in the bank account!")

I'll have to tell of all the fun and show some pictures of our adventure... but I'm going to bed. And tomorrow we're taking a day off! Yay! We're going to work in our yard a little and hopefully get our sprinkler system such that we can plant a garden. And I'm hoping (but trying not to be too awfully set on it in case it doesn't happen.) that we will also get something planted in the garden! It would be too much to hope that we could also get to our large amount of grass in our FRONT yard that needs pulling and spraying... but we'll see what we can do. If anyone doesn't know what to do with your Saturday, come on over!

I was informed yesterday that I need to make a new logo. Which is fun because I enjoy doing it and unless I'm completely brain dead it is not as tedious as programming! So this is the second round of what I've got based off of the input I received off of the first round. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts or favorites. Or even better yet, good ideas!

What? More Work?

Our lives are not very exciting right now if you are looking for variety. We are continuing the saga of the mega work push. It has been a bitter sweet experience for me.

Bitter because I miss my Craig and it's hard for me to have him gone ALL day. He leaves as soon as he wakes up and when he comes home he's usually asleep from the drive and just gets put into bed.

It has been sad to not hear his happy noises and be a part of all the discoveries he's making. But at the same time we are so lucky to have such a good place for him to go while we're getting this through this rush. He absolutely LOVES it at grandma and grandpas and is always having the time of his life when ever he is there. (I worry that I'll be hard pressed to provide that kind of entertainment when he gets back.) He has started saying "No" a lot now when he comes home and I'm not too happy about that, I hope it's just a phase and he snaps out of it soon.

The other good part of it is we are always saying "It would be so nice if we just had some time that we could focus on this stuff and get it done!" And now we do! We have been getting so much done. It's a little overwhelming to realize that although we are getting a lot done our list doesn't seem to be getting any smaller! But I guess that's job security right.

And I'm not going to lie. After about 12 hours of sitting here programming and designing I feel a little brain dead and mostly spent. So it's hard to keep going. (We usually end around midnight or 1 which ends up making it 15 hours.) The moral of the story? Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it!

Really it has been good though and nice to know that we're not just ignoring Craig as he's begging for our attention. (Are you seriously still reading this?...That's dedication!) I don't know how we're going to get pack meeting planned and pulled off this week as well as a sharing time lesson (Don't forget to add school to the mix too! And homework and a test!).

I'm just glad that we don't have to do this all the time and once the big push is over it will slow down. I'll be glad when Craig is at home and he can remember that mom really isn't 'that boring lady that always puts me to bed' Last time I went to get him he took one look at me and said "NO!" then he turned around and wouldn't look at me. SAD!

Tonight was good though we got to play for a good hour after he got home and that was good for my heart. Well I make an end of my writings. (and with the length of that post I may never have to write again!) I wonder how many people will make it this far?

Thanks to the Blockburgers we were able to go see some of the parade of homes houses this year. It was a good break from our busy schedule. And Craig got to hang out with his friend Julia! Up until he got way too tired they had a lot of fun. (even though you can't tell from the look on his face!)

When we got home and I was looking through our pictures Craig was delighted when he saw this one and just kept saying... Juuuuu-lia, Juuuu-lia!

A day of work

Sound exciting hu? Well actually it was. We have so much to accomplish that we have started a major work focus effort for the next few weeks and hope to have everything done by the time farming starts so we can breath for a while.

So early this morning (yeah still this morning, I still have 3 minutes before tomorrow starts.) K.C. took Craig out to Grandpa's and we started grinding away. I sat down at my computer at 8am and didn't leave (except for the occasional potty break and some drinks) until 8:30pm. That's right work, work, work!

K.C. even brought me breakfast from Jack In The Box (we NEVER get fast food for breakfast so that was fun). And then later he warmed up some yummy leftovers for dinner. As you may have noticed there was a small mishap in our scheduling. We missed lunch. But on the bright side, we got a lot done!

Just for the fun of it you should check some of it out. They're not all done and these are placeholders that I put up while we get the real sites up and going. Then they will all be fully interactive sites. (And when do they need to be done you ask? March 1st ALL OF THEM!)

Super Green Grass
Super Green Cleaner
Bio Rich Soil
GreenWay Golf Answers

Some of these were worked on before today but some (like the Super Green Grass) were just started from the very concept, today.

The rest of my work would be hard to see because it is in the form of product labels, fliers, and logos.

But I can show you the latest and if you have any input you could help us form the company identity through the logo. Feedback from people besides those that are all wrapped up in it is always very helpful. After about 50 Logos (did I really to that many today?) these are the ones that everyone is trying to pick between.

So all it all it was a very productive day! I honestly think that I got about a weeks worth of work done! At this rate I might actually catch up! It's a good thing that I have such wonderful family to help us out! And it's also such a blessing that I enjoy what I do so much!

Done!

I've been working hard since we laid Craig down for bed at 7:30 and I'm so happy that one of my projects that is due by tomorrow evening is DONE! And now at 1am, I'm going to bed.

(But on the bright side at least tonight I didn't fall asleep with one hand on my keyboard and the other on my mouse...) K.C. was really sweet and carried me to bed. I have such a great husband!

G'night!

Scout Sunday

It was a new and fun experience to be in the Scouting program on Scout Sunday. I almost got to wear pants to church! But instead I went with my jean skirt.

(Let me tell ya though, it's no easy thing sewing all those patches on by hand!)

Can That Be Me?!

Looking back through some pictures and I found this one
Oh my goodness! Was I seriously that HUGE! Holy cow! This was the week before Craig was born. And thank goodness, if he'd waited any longer I would have POPPED!

Mmmmm So good

I Love German Pancakes. (or Pop Up Pancakes as K.C.'s Family calls them). But I can never manage to cook them right. They always end up a little burnt or just a little underdone because I was trying too hard NOT to burn them.

On Sunday I found a post by Cheryl about this wonderful recipe and I couldn't resist! What a perfect way to end a Fast Sunday!
{It just looked so good I couldn't resist taking a picture. Even the picture looks yummy!}

Mmmm It was so good. And instead of taking 45 min to bake it only took 15! I love it. Cooking is so much funner when you don't have to wait forever in anticipation after you done all the hard work of getting it ready. I am just not patient when it comes to cooking. If I'm going to spend the time to do it I want to be able to do it quickly and then get on to the next thing. But hey at least I go through spurts where I actually DO it. Like this last week I think I cooked every day! That must be some kind of record. And now we're enjoying the leftovers!

The recipe for was originally on Make and Takes. It seriously is quick and easy. If you're a "I don't want a hassle and I want it to be quick" cooker... This is a winner!

P.S. Do you think if I actual give food it's own label, it'll become more of a priority in my life?

Crafty Me

I have always wanted one of these:
So Yesterday, I made one! I was so thrilled with how it turned out!
This was my beta test and now I have some ultra cute material I'm going to make another one and fix a few minor flaws.
I even made it reversible! AND the best part is... There are no seems to be seen! Anywhere! It took some serious pondering before I came up with how to accomplish it but I sewed it all inside out of inside out... it doesn't make sense I know but it's true. It was actually quite difficult to figure out how to do it because I didn't want seams to show on the other side when you turn it inside out... just think about that one for a while.) And then hand stitched the last little bit and viola!
It only took about ten minutes of actual sewing. This one took more time of sitting and thinking and pinning and unpinning and trying to remember what they looked like and visualize what I thought I remembered.) But when all was said and done I was quite happy with it!

Amazing Exit

I'm way behind, this happened before my birthday but here is
the amazing exit of our 'Big Bad Bush!'

Don't be fooled by appearances. The bush is actually IN the truck!
But not far enough to close the tailgate...
I wish I could have seen the looks that mom and dad got as they drove through town! From the back you could hardly tell there was a truck under there, so it just looked like a bush driving down the road!

Craig sure had fun with grandma in the truck while they were working on getting it in.
{ I thought this was kind of a fun effect }
And Then just today we removed the rest of the pile of rocks in our front yard! We still have a HUGE pile by our back fence but we are slowly making progress. As soon as we can water it down and wash some dirt away it should start to look pretty good.

Nap time

Our nap time routine right now consists of going in to my bed and reading Craig's books until he gets tired and falls asleep.

Usually when he starts to fall asleep he will reach out and slide one little arm under my neck and pull my cheek over onto his. So sweet! It makes my heart melt every time!

But this time that wasn't quite enough. I was on one side and this was on the other:
{ It's an elephant }

I wish I could have taken a picture while I was still there. I love being a mom. It's so challenging, overwhelming and completely rewarding. I love my little family. They make life worth living.

The Walkway

Yesterday was a beautiful Saturday! I was warm, but not hot and it just made me feel like spring is in the air! We of course worked more on our backyard. And this is what we did. Our Walkway!

K.C. did such a good job of cutting all the stones so they would fit!
{ It's still dirty and the sand is still settling so it doesn't look perfect but it's pretty close to being done! }One step closer to grass! Does anyone know where we can find some good clean dirt to fill in a little of our back yard? If you do we'd sure love to know about it.
