Week 20

Week 20 Progress report:

Sinus problems:
Still bad. A few days ago it changed from being just on my right side to both sides. Joy.

Cough: Getting worse again it's been over 2 months at this point. Lame!

Sciatic Nerve: Not as bad as it was a few days ago just a minor annoyance most of the time and a quick jolt of pain if I get in the wrong position. Hopefully that means I'm getting better.

Kicking: All the time. Last night K.C. felt her kick his hand for the first time! It was fun to have him be able to share that with me. I love feeling her move!

Ligament Cramping: Still happening. But mainly it's the worst when I cough... (see a problem here) or when I have to get up quickly or make a sudden move (Craig see's to it that I get to do both of these things on a regular basis!) or when I walk up or down stairs. Thankfully there aren't any of those in my house!

Morning Sickness: Haven't thrown up in quite a while! Yay! But last night in the middle of the night I had a sudden and rather violent attach of Morning Sickness and felt overwhelmingly hungry and nauseous all at the same time. But it went away after about an hour. I thought that was pretty random.

Summation: Haven't slept because of sinus pressure and a healthy combination of the rest of those symptoms up there for several days. I feel pretty run down but I don't know how to change it so onward we go.

Family Pictures

Here's a few pictures of us. You can just pretend that this is part of your Christmas card from us. There will be more family pictures of the whole Farr bunch when I get them all edited. We were really glad that one of our friends was willing to come push the button so that I could be in a few of them too!

The name game

The name game begins. Since we have plenty of time to throw options around... why not start! I've put a poll up for you to pick as many options as you like. Or if you have a suggestion or combination that is not listed then we'd love to hear about that too! This is by no means a final list of favorite names, it's just a start, so we'd love to hear what you think. (or if you've realized something about nicknames and teasing that escaped us, please do share. :) I'm sure this will be an ever changing list as we come up with and then cross off names. Have fun!

Sleepless in St. George

Ok so I do know that I actually live in Washington... But 'Sleepless in Washington?' come on that just doesn't sound right.

So here I sit. The house is quiet, the lights are off, both of my boys are sleeping soundly and my sinus is hard at work having a late night party with a rouge bout of morning sickness to provide a perfectly miserable night for me. You know what I think I've decided. I think I need a list of volunteer Priesthood holders who are up after midnight on a regular basis and ready to help K.C. give a blessing. I'm not one of those people who gets it bad during the day or just really crashes and burns when it's convenient. No middle of the night is the only time for that kind of thing. But who wants to call someone and wake them up when you're probably just "having an emotional pregnant moment and it's not that big a deal anyways?" I'm not that brave.

And so here I am trying to figure out what in the world to do for the rest of the night.

Craig makes a call

Craig just got his 'Dr Phone' (see picture below, minus the grater attachment and crank) opened it up and said "Hello? Little sister?! How are you?! Here mom tell sister about astronauts and moon buggies! Quick mama tell her! TELL HER!"

then he saw me typing this and held up his "phone" to the picture on the screen and said "Good job mama! You found a match! You did it!"

Apparently he remembers that we're having a sister.  I love how he likes to check up on her. He's going to be a fun big brother. I have been terribly remiss about posting updates on Craig. I was just realizing that I haven't said anything about his counting to 20 or singing the ABC's ALL the time! I think it's his favorite song. Or knowing the first 6 articles of faith or being able to read his name and about 8 other words consistently enough that I know he's not guessing! Or a myriad of other things. I'll have to dig through the videos that I took and see if I can find some good ones.

Cut and Color

I finally got brave and colored my own hair. It was quite the adventure and I'm not sure how good I did but at least I don't have 6 in roots anymore!

And I had a really nice lady give me a hair cut that I love!

I feel like a new person. It's so nice to get a fresh new feeling it just makes things better!

I didn't think to take a before picture so this is the best one I could find.

We're having....

A girl!

Here I am at 18 weeks. We just got back from our ultrasound in Las Vegas. It was such a good experience. The little office was designed like a living room. With a couch for K.C. and a recliner for me! Nice! and there was a little entertainment center right in front of me with a TV in it so I could comfortably see the whole thing. I was very happy with the whole experience. And I'm VERY EXCITED to think of being the mother of a little girl! This is definitely going to be a new experience!

What'll it be?

Tomorrow is a big day! We're going to go and find out what this baby is going to be! (And make sure that all is well and good - that's important too!)

So I've put up a poll. Sorry for the short notice so I hope you read my blog today or tomorrow because I just barely thought of it. What do you think we're going to have a boy or a girl? Hmmm....

Maybe I should start a name poll too... but then again maybe not because what if I'm the only one that likes my favorite name... we'll see what happens I guess but in the mean time

GO VOTE!
{on our baby of course}

Pumpkins and Halloween

Yes Christmas is almost here and I'm just now getting to Halloween!

We went and picked out pumpkin this year. Craig had lots of fun petting the animals:

Giving them hugs.

Playing on the corn slide with daddy.

And the TEETER TOTTER.
{all of K.C.'s life he's called this a "Teety Totter" - it cracks me up!}

And of course being his adorable self.

Then we went to the pumpkin patch and he picked out our pumpkin.

{not either of these pumpkins though!}

We were all coughing and sick but I'm glad we went. Thanks to the Blockburgers for going with us or it may never have happened!

We were all feeling a little bit better but not much by the time Halloween rolled around so it was very mellow at our house this year. (we did actually spend most of the say at Bryce canyon because K.C. had to go there for a homework assignment. But that's another story) Several days AFTER Halloween we finally got around to carving the pumpkin. We asked Craig what kind of a face it should have and this is what he said....

So that's what we did! Pretty good I'd say.

 I love to see how much fun Craig has with his daddy!
They are such good buddies.

It's making this face dad!

 "There's a fire in there mom!"

Monster Tomato

This was a monster tomato that my sister brought from her garden a few months ago. The thing was almost as big as my head! It was SO delicious!
