Little artist

Craig did this at kindergarten. I love how he remembers fun things he did with his daddy.

Lucky boys

My boys are so lucky to have such a wonderful dad. He is so amazing. I love how kind and gentle he is, How he takes time to play with the kids, how he is always taking care of everything, and how much he shows the boys that he loves their mama.

Yes they are very lucky boys.

Flash Back - K.C.'s Birthday

Remember a while ago when I remembered I had a birthday? Turns out K.C. had one too! haha. Imagine that!

We had lots of fun on a low (wait a NO) budget.  :)

The twins and Wanda came for a sleepover and did a number on the house in the middle of the night. It was awesome!

Craig was a little tired. We had a hard time waking him up for the festivities!

We have a tradition of putting up crepe paper for the birthday person to run through...

K.C. never does anything 'half way' :)

Then we went to Kite Festival and partied there. Craig got to sit in the fire truck and loved it...

But I must admit I was surprised to find that Savannah was the one who refused to get out! Silly girl.

My Parents. This is the picture of true love right here. My dad took this recliner and converted it into a wheelchair for my mom so that she could be comfortable wherever they went. That's just one example of the love that these two share. They inspire me with their undying devotion and love for each other! Love you parents! (And it makes a pretty good granddaughter magnet too! :)

Watching these two together makes my heart happy! I love my boys.

This was Craigs reaction when the band started playing his favorite song from 'Cars.' "Life is a highway." He was so happy!

All the partying was exhausting for the little ones!

 My hot hubby!

Life is so good when we're all together!
 Haha! Oh Savannah!

Then we opened his presents:

And he got some help with the candles!

Happy Birthday K.C. It was a fun day! Hope you know how much we all love you! You're the best!

Things that I haven't posted about.

I haven't posted about:

*K.C.'s Birthday (Done! click here to read)
*Me Taking A P90-X Class and placing 3rd!
*Savannah's First Birthday!
*Savannah's Birthday Photoshoot (don't worry I haven't edited that yet)
*Me loosing over 30lbs (go me!)
*K.C. becoming a round table break out teacher
*Our job hunting
*Getting our phones switched to a new provider and thus getting cool new phones
*Getting started selling Paparazzi Accessories and what a blessing that has been.
*My dear friend that I've tried to help but who has actually lifted and inspired me more than I can say as she has dealt with her sweet son moving on to continue his adventure in heaven, and the struggle that has been.
*All of our crazy traveling in May including:
*Going to Salt Lake to pick up Daniel my cousin and get my brothers stuff
*Going to NV to take pictures of K.C.'s sister Kaylea's wedding,
*Going to Arizona to shoot a wedding in a hot air balloon. (can I just say "most stressful shoot I've ever done?!") And 2 newborn shoot that I snuck in!
*Coming home for a few days
*Then back to Arizona for a few weeks for another of K.C.'s sisters weddings (Lana) which I also took the pictures at. And helping his parents get started selling Paparazzi Accessories.
*All of Savannah's milestones and updates
*The crafts that I've made
*Craigs' brilliance as he continues to delight us every day...
*And how we're planning another trip this time to encompass Salt Lake, NV and Idaho.

Basically I'm behind. Very very behind. But I've been so busy doing all of these things that I run from one to the next and don't have the time to keep a nice record of them. And I've been bad, oh so bad at reading other people's blogs too! sometimes I just want that lazy feeling of "hmm what should I do now? I think I'll look at some blogs and catch up on my friends...leisurely... because I can!" or even just "Hey my kid just did something cute I'm going to post about it and I can do that!"

Notice the time? 1:40AM? sigh.

Dear life, why can I never catch up? Please try to get back to normal soon. Thanks so much. Love me

Tender

K.C. is the sweetest daddy in the whole world. I love how he interacts with our kids. They both love him so much and just light up when he plays with them. I'm so lucky to be married to such a wonderful man. When regular life gets in the way and I start feeling down I have to look at pictures like this and remind myself that dreams come true and cherished memories come at times like this, in simple sweet ways.

New Callings

the 2nd counselor in the new bishopric called and talked to K.C. and I could hear them talking for the most part about Cub Scouts and if K.C. had enjoyed it. When K.C. got off the phone he told me that Bro. Hyde was going to come and visit with us that night.

I was happy for K.C. that he was going to get back into scouting and didn't think much else of it. When Bro. Hyde got here he chatted for a while and then turned to me and said "Well K.C. is off the hook, Celeste will you be the Secretary in Primary?" I admit I was a little shocked and not at all prepared.

I was mostly bummed that I wouldn't be able to get to know people in this ward like I was planning on. But I will just have to be more creative about it I guess. I did find it kind of funny that it was the exact thing that happened to me in the Red Ledge ward.

The Scenario:
Move in, ward dissolved next Sunday, go one Sunday, called to primary pres.
Still here, ward dissolved, go one Sunday, Called to primary pres.

I guess primary is the place for me right now. I have been enjoying it though. Being secretary is right up my alley because I get to organize and make lists!

So a few days later we were out in Hurricane and the Stake called wanting us to come in for a visit with one of the Stake presidency. (Uh that's never happened, SCARY.)

That was on the night that we had a state of emergency in Washington County because of all the flooding. We borrowed my parents van so that it would brave the wet roads better but when we got to our house to change out of our dirty painting clothes we were very dismayed to find that we were locked out of the house because our keys were still in Hurricane. Can I just say ultra embarrassment and panic? They had given us like an hour notice so they said we didn't have to come in Sunday clothes. But still I'm pretty sure they weren't expecting WORK clothes/ Pajamas!

Sigh. But there wasn't much we could do about it so we went and I was very grateful to have my very long coat in the car to cover up all but the ends of my pants and my flip flops. (It was kind of funny though a very nice lady in the foyer that was waiting with us for their turn offered to let me borrow her shoes! When I grow up I want to be nice like that!)

So long story short K.C. is the Second Counselor in the Elders Quorum.

THEN the next day we get a call asking if we could meet with the bishop that night, (again with about an hours notice). My thoughts: This is getting to be a bad habit! What now?

But as it turns out he just wanted to get to know us. It was a very busy week.

Magna Cum Laude

I'm so proud of K.C.! He is graduating with honors! This is so amazing to me. For most of his college experience he has received nothing but A's.

(Don't even get me started on the professor that gives him tests on things that even the professor doesn't know how to solve and then gives him stupid grades because he couldn't teach what he was testing! the last few semesters he has received one or two grades that were not an A but they were all from the same professor! It makes me irritated that this one sour apple had to ruin a perfect record! But I'm not talking about that!)

It has been amazing to me to have K.C. be in school, working full time, and being a full time daddy and husband. He has been so amazing through the last 4.5 years and has always performed to the highest standards. And as he likes to point out, he doesn't stress about school and everything else on his plate because I do that for him.

He could very easily get consumed with life and forget to stop and play with his son, or forget to stop and make his wife feel special, but he doesn't. He has always kept his family at the front of his focus and taken such good care of us. I'm not going to lie, I am not going to miss school when it's over and I'm certainly not going to miss the 2am and 3am bedtimes as we (because I can't go to bed without him) try to accomplish everything. But all in all, he has handled it like a champ and I'm so proud of what he has achieved.

There are only 2 days left of class and then a few finals next week and then... graduation! You can do it K.C. the finish line is in site! I'm so excited for the next stage of our life as we leave school behind for now and move into a new way of life! You're amazing and I love you so very much. Thank you for being the most wonderful husband in the world.

And as they say in Latin "You're Totally Awesome!"

(Basically this means that of the hundreds of students that will graduate from Dixie this year, my sweet K.C. is in the top 35!)

That's my K.C.

Quality time with dad.

K.C. put Craig down for his nap the other day while I ran some errands. When I came home, this is where I found him:

Then later the same day Craig pulled K.C. out of the office begging for him to read a story...

Isn't that the cutest thing ever?

I can't even say how much these two boys make me happy! K.C. is such a wonderful daddy. I'm always amazed at how much he has to do and how much he still stops and puts it on hold to spend time with his little boy. Craig is one lucky kid!

Week 35

So technically this is 35 1/2 weeks...

I'm finally getting caught up on all the pictures that I've been slacking to post. I still have week 36 to post, but I can't because I haven't taken them yet :)

We went repelling on a couples date. It was so much fun!
(Even though I just got to sit and watch the whole time, I got to visit with and get to know some awesome people.)

So this is me at the bottom of the cliff.

And here's K.C. at the top ;)

I'll post all of the updates on pregnancy and baby with my 36 week update.

The Work Bench

We decided to do something that we've been meaning to do since we moved in. Pain the garage. I wish I would have taken a picture before we got it all emptied out but since I didn't here's a picture of what it looked like before we started working on it but after we got our stuff out. you can't really see how dirty and gross the walls are or all of the holes. Trust me it didn't look this good in real life.

We had grand and glorious plans of organizing everything and putting in shelving and all sorts of wonderful things. But reality set it when we started looking at the actual numbers so we settled for painting it and putting in a little bench for tools.
K.C. has some tools and has never had a good place to put them or way to deal with them so that was our focus, a work bench.
So it went from this:

To this:

To this:
(doesn't it look so much better with those hidious shelves gone and nice white walls? Not to mention a pretty darn cool work bench!)

Then the fun part came:

Voila! Our one corner of organization and happiness!

Just don't turn around because here's the rest of the stuff we have to figure out what to do with!
(sigh)
But we do have nice white walls and one really nice corner AND we hung our bikes. Small victories. Small victories!

Fun in Arizona / New Years

On New Years Eve all of the hunts decided to see who had the biggest butt. So out came the tape measure and everyone (most everyone) got to see where they ranked.

Where did that come from? Actually I think K.C. suggested it. Go figure :) But as this ulitmate display of what a nice little husband I have we all talked him into trying on some of Larissa's pants.

Larissa is his 14 year old sister and she wears size 2.

SIZE 2!

As you can see we were all cracking up! I'm pretty sure K.C. was crying.

Larissa and K.C.
The oldest boy and the youngest girl :)

It was awesome.

Then for some New Years Day excitement we all packed up early the next morning and went to Heber to play in the snow. It was so much fun to hang out with everyone and get to play.

  {I love that boy}

I was fully planning on joining in with the sledding but Craig fell asleep on me before we got to the hill and didn't wake up till we left, so I stayed in the truck with him.

Here's some of K.C.'s escapades in the snow.

Chasing it down the hill

After playing in the snow we went down to see the horses. Craig thought it was fun to have daddy feed them but he didn't like it when they got too close.

My Happy Family.

Here's hoping that 2010 is an awesome year!
