Car Adventures

I realized today that it has been one week since our car troubles. I can't believe where the time has gone! It seems like that was yesterday! I missed the whole week! Anyways I'm taking a little brain relieving rest and blogging. So here are some pictures of the event.

We were going 80 mph down the freeway on our way out to Hurricane. All of a sudden there was a terrible 'bang!' and the driver side of the car bounced into the air! I had been looking back talking to Craig so I flipped around to see what was going on and K.C. was trying to pull off the road. But there was a cliff on both sides of the freeway where we were and a guard rail that barely left enough room for our little car on the shoulder. We were able to get stopped but it felt like every car that passed was going to take off our mirrors.

At that time it seemed like the freeway only had semi trucks on it. When K.C. got out of the car I just about had a heart attack. I thought for sure I was going to see him get run over.

He told me we had a flat tire... well as it turns out we actually had 2. On the same side! We had run over a brick in the road. Have you ever wondered what would happen if a brick and a rim got in a fight?

The Brick would win.

The brick had blown a chunk out of our rim!
the back tire was bent beyond repair but only the front one was missing a baseball size chunk.
We sat on the freeway for an hour and half while we waited for my dad to bring another doughnut because we were thoughtless and didn't have 2 spares! (maybe now we should have 4!)

It's a good thing that someone called the highway patrol and told them to come help us because with both of the tires flat on the same side we were unable to get our jack under the car. The helpful patrolman had a jack that worked. I was very grateful.

Here's a picture of our poor car! It looks even more pathetic because it's so dirty!
We had to replace at least 2 rims but to get ones like we already had was going to be $405.00 a piece!

It was cheaper to replace all four of them. And luckily our tires were OK so we were able to put them on the new rims and didn't have to buy new tires too!

While we waited for the rims to get put on we all went to breakfast at Denny's (Dad, Ammon, K.C. Craig and I)

Craig loves Grandpa!

He had fun with the Crayons

I thought this was so cute! I love my boy!

So after Ali (the car) was all fixed up, we went and had her washed and now we feel like we have a new car!

Here's some random pictures
This is what happens when you ask him to smile
His favorite hat (that he took from my brother Nephi)At our last pack meeting we had a relay race where you had to get dressed in all these big clothes run across the room and unwrap a candy bar with a butter knife and then run back and give the next person a try.

One of the boys was so little that when he was putting the clothes on he completely disappeared. He couldn't see at all! and the only thing you could see of him was his hands! It was pretty cute.
