Here's our sturdy little stepper running around after a ball. I helped him to kick it one day and he was so thrilled with it that he loves to run after it and kick it again and again. He even stays up after a good solid kick too! So fun. He does a quick turn around in here that would normally have toppled him but he made it! Learning more everyday.

More Please, Thank you
Craig has learned that he can tell me what he wants. (with somethings anyways). He tells me "more" "food" "please" "thank you" "up" and "drink". It is so stinking cute. I don't know if it's the real sign language or not but it's what works for us so I don't mind.
I don't have pictures of the others yet. I'm sure they'll come.
"More" he does by tapping his fingers together in front of him. He does this when I am supposed to sing more, turn on another song, give him more food... I think he's got the program pretty good.
Sometimes he ends up tapping on his thumb
More food
"food" he does by tapping his fingers to his mouth... this often ends up as one finger in the mouth though.
"Please" is a funny one. He was starting to grab things from me and fuss if I didn't let him take them. So one day I decided to play a game with him and try to break this bad habit before it got fully formed. I would hold my hand out palm up and ask him to "please" give me my phone (which was the coveted item). I would then help him to give it to me. Right away I would help him hold his hand out in the same way and ask me to "please" give it to him. I repeated this about ten times and by the end he was doing it on his own.
he knows that he's not supposed to fuss to get something and he has to ask nicely or say "please". So if he wants something REALLY bad he will make excited noises and say 'please!' with both hands. It gets so exuberant that his hands end up back by his ears somewhere! Now that is saying please! This is very dangerous however. He's so stinking cute and he asks so sweetly how can I say 'no'?!

Please can I have that ball?
PLEASE!
"Thank you" he does by placing his fingers on his mouth and then lowering his hand. It ends up looking like he's blowing kisses.
Thank you Mama!

Miracle!
Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles. We got everyone to agree to taking ANOTHER family picture. It was lots of fun and miraculously we actually got a pretty good one. This is every single person in my parents posterity all together for my youngest sisters baptism.
We are so proud of you girls!

Daddy I'm hungry!
So every morning Craig wakes up about 6:30 or 7:00. I usually hear him making noise through the baby monitor and so I go and get him out of bed. Then I will take him into the kitchen and make him a bottle. He sits on the counter and watches as I make it and points to the bottle and says please (by holding one or both hands up with his palm up). He definently knows what he wants. Then we go into our bedroom and he lays on our bed while he drinks it and will sometimes fall back asleep, or so we hope. Apparently I did not realize how much of a routine this was for the little guy.
So a few days ago I awoke up to the sounds of him making noise, indicating he was awake. I stumbled into his room and found him as I always do, standing up at the edge of the crib waiting for me to come and pick him up. I was particularly tired that morning from not getting to bed till 2:00AM the night before. So instead of going into the kitchen I found his pacifier and took him in and laid him down in our bed hoping that we could both go back to sleep for a while. He was very restless and so after a few minutes of trying to go back to sleep I opened my eyes to check on him. He noticed that I was now paying attention to him and so he pointed at me and then pointed to our bedroom door, very clearly indicating that he wanted to go out. Still hesitating, he grabbed onto my shirt and started pushing on me with his hands and head.
It was more than I could take, he was trying to tell me so nicely that he wanted to go. So I gave in and picked him up and walked out of the bedroom towards the kitchen. As I did so he said please with his hands and very patiently waited as I prepared a bottle for him. I gave him the bottle and we went back into the bedroom where he drank it as he always does and fell very sweetly back to sleep after he'd finished eating.
It was just so cute of him, I thought I'd share it with everyone. That is what having kids is all about. The cute things they do to remind you that you have a sacred responsibility to care for them.

Book Party
I started selling the greatest kid books ever! The Usborne books. I love them and the best part is that Craig loves them too. I'm going to be having a book party this week and there is an E-Show so if anyone wants to get some books online you can do that too. Seriousely they are the greatest, and most of them are under $10.00!You can go to this link if you want to be part of my E-Show.
www.ubah.com/HOS120312
You can also enter to win $50 in free books and all sorts of other stuff that I actually haven't even had time to explore. So if you find anything cool let me know.
They also have a great deal this month. I am kinda bummed because I wish I would have signed up this month instead of last. This month if you sign up to be a consultant you get a $450.00 kit for $99.00. Such a great deal.
This party will end on July 30th so if you do want to get stuff do it before then. Thanks. If it's after the 30th you can visit my site with this link. http://www.ubah.com/v2769
family pictures
Family pictures are always a fun experience with our family. Dispite our best efforts there is always something fun and laughable about how things end up. We end up with fond memories and some pretty funny pictures though. we had the camera on a tripod and then we'd put it on a timer and try to get all the little kids to smile at that blinking light. Not so successful.

This is just the time for camera troubles I guess because half the time the tripods little adjustable neck that was holding the camera up would slide down right before it snapped the picture so everyone in the back would have their heads chopped off.
Because of all the squirmy kids everyone was bouncing around trying to keep them from screaming so our careful positioning to be in the picture and see every ones face wasn't always so successful either.
So by the time patience ran out and kids were done we had a handful of pictures and well, I might have to do some photo reconstruction. :)
Here's one of the better ones. (Yes my son is sucking on a rock.)

Why walk when you can run?
So this is about 2 weeks old now and outdated again but here's a fun one of craig learning to walk.
I had some more darling videos and pictures... But they were victims of the lost picture episode! If only I could go back in time. It is just so stupid and it was one of those things that shouldn't have ever even happened! (for more explanation see the end of the "welcome home" post)
