Things that I haven't posted about.

I haven't posted about:

*K.C.'s Birthday (Done! click here to read)
*Me Taking A P90-X Class and placing 3rd!
*Savannah's First Birthday!
*Savannah's Birthday Photoshoot (don't worry I haven't edited that yet)
*Me loosing over 30lbs (go me!)
*K.C. becoming a round table break out teacher
*Our job hunting
*Getting our phones switched to a new provider and thus getting cool new phones
*Getting started selling Paparazzi Accessories and what a blessing that has been.
*My dear friend that I've tried to help but who has actually lifted and inspired me more than I can say as she has dealt with her sweet son moving on to continue his adventure in heaven, and the struggle that has been.
*All of our crazy traveling in May including:
*Going to Salt Lake to pick up Daniel my cousin and get my brothers stuff
*Going to NV to take pictures of K.C.'s sister Kaylea's wedding,
*Going to Arizona to shoot a wedding in a hot air balloon. (can I just say "most stressful shoot I've ever done?!") And 2 newborn shoot that I snuck in!
*Coming home for a few days
*Then back to Arizona for a few weeks for another of K.C.'s sisters weddings (Lana) which I also took the pictures at. And helping his parents get started selling Paparazzi Accessories.
*All of Savannah's milestones and updates
*The crafts that I've made
*Craigs' brilliance as he continues to delight us every day...
*And how we're planning another trip this time to encompass Salt Lake, NV and Idaho.

Basically I'm behind. Very very behind. But I've been so busy doing all of these things that I run from one to the next and don't have the time to keep a nice record of them. And I've been bad, oh so bad at reading other people's blogs too! sometimes I just want that lazy feeling of "hmm what should I do now? I think I'll look at some blogs and catch up on my friends...leisurely... because I can!" or even just "Hey my kid just did something cute I'm going to post about it and I can do that!"

Notice the time? 1:40AM? sigh.

Dear life, why can I never catch up? Please try to get back to normal soon. Thanks so much. Love me

It's working!

For 3 weeks now I have been going to the gym several times a week! This is something that I've always wanted to do but never had the guts to do. I am taking lots of group exercises classes and I've always been to chicken to do it by myself.

But somehow I found the courage to just make myself do it and forget about all the people staring at me. Because really who notices what everyone else is doing when they are having to follow an instructor. That takes a lot of concentration!

The first class I went to to start off my exercises routine gently was Power X. I could hardly move the rest of the week! I found out later that Power X means P90X! It was NOT a gently 'lets get started' class! I must admit I haven't found the motivation to go back to that one. I mean I'm not in shape, AT ALL and I was doing push-ups with my feet on a chair and my hands on dumbbells! I was holding myself in a push up/plank position and walking across the floor moving only my hands and ankles! I was JUMPING clear from a full squat as high as I could with a half turn and then returning to the squat, over and over and over and over! In short I almost died!

Who knows I might be able to do it again but as an intro... it was a bit much. Anyways I've been having tons of fun trying new things and feeling like I am actually doing something about being fit instead of just feeling depressed and WISHING that I was doing something. It's gives me a great sense of accomplishment to be DOING something.

I'm usually one of those people who says:

"Ready.... Aim.... Aim.... Aim.... Aim...."

or worse yet

"Ready... Shoot! (Aim.)"

I've even been able to go with people I know sometimes and that makes it so much better! So if you're ever wanting to go to the gym I'd love some company! I don't have an established routine yet because I've been trying a bunch of different classes but I try to do something just about every day. So don't be shy, I'd love the company.

Gym

We did it again! I'm just so excited that we are finally following through with our good intentions to go to the gym! Even through the first week of school and some stomach pain for me we are still going! Not that I know what to do when I get there or if it's doing any good, but it's better than not doing anything.

It's amazing how much better things go when I can add one more thing to the "accomplished" list instead of the "I'm too much of a slacker to get to it" list.

Back to the grind!

Today was K.C.'s last day before school starts again! It's been so wonderful to have him home all the time. To have him NOT doing homework. And to be able to accomplish things that have long been waiting for everything else to get done first.

We got his text book today and just looking at the stack made me sigh with relief that I am not in school too. I get awfully jealous of all the stuff he's learning and I'm not, but when I see all the work he has to do to get it I remind myself that now is the time and place to be "mommy" and happily learn what I can from K.C.

But on the bright side we made it to the gym today! Thanks to Shannon for watching Craig!
(And In spite of the fact that as I was putting on my shorts I was standing much too near our bathroom counter and raised my knee much too fast and as my kneecap connected with the lip on the counter I felt the counter top heave and feel as if it had been jostled from it's happy home. Almost instantly a very angry looking welt appeared and it has continued to ripen into a very painful, rather pathetic knee! Yes in spite of that... We made it! Yay for us!)

The Gym

We did it! We got up this morning and went to the gym... (Well not actually this morning because THIS morning just started about an hour ago) Friday morning. It was kind of interesting chasing Craig around and taking turns holding/watching him while the other worked for a little.

It's definitely official though, I am out of shape! I could hardly go 15 min on that bike! Of course it kept increasing the difficulty level on me (or was that Craig pushing buttons) but once it got up to like 12 I was so tired and sore that I basically crawled off the bike and we went and did something else.

I will get the better of it! Just not the first time maybe. Yet another happy benefit to having K.C.'s new schedule. We get to do stuff in the morning instead of late at night! We are truly so blessed.
