Things that I haven't posted about.

I haven't posted about:

*K.C.'s Birthday (Done! click here to read)
*Me Taking A P90-X Class and placing 3rd!
*Savannah's First Birthday!
*Savannah's Birthday Photoshoot (don't worry I haven't edited that yet)
*Me loosing over 30lbs (go me!)
*K.C. becoming a round table break out teacher
*Our job hunting
*Getting our phones switched to a new provider and thus getting cool new phones
*Getting started selling Paparazzi Accessories and what a blessing that has been.
*My dear friend that I've tried to help but who has actually lifted and inspired me more than I can say as she has dealt with her sweet son moving on to continue his adventure in heaven, and the struggle that has been.
*All of our crazy traveling in May including:
*Going to Salt Lake to pick up Daniel my cousin and get my brothers stuff
*Going to NV to take pictures of K.C.'s sister Kaylea's wedding,
*Going to Arizona to shoot a wedding in a hot air balloon. (can I just say "most stressful shoot I've ever done?!") And 2 newborn shoot that I snuck in!
*Coming home for a few days
*Then back to Arizona for a few weeks for another of K.C.'s sisters weddings (Lana) which I also took the pictures at. And helping his parents get started selling Paparazzi Accessories.
*All of Savannah's milestones and updates
*The crafts that I've made
*Craigs' brilliance as he continues to delight us every day...
*And how we're planning another trip this time to encompass Salt Lake, NV and Idaho.

Basically I'm behind. Very very behind. But I've been so busy doing all of these things that I run from one to the next and don't have the time to keep a nice record of them. And I've been bad, oh so bad at reading other people's blogs too! sometimes I just want that lazy feeling of "hmm what should I do now? I think I'll look at some blogs and catch up on my friends...leisurely... because I can!" or even just "Hey my kid just did something cute I'm going to post about it and I can do that!"

Notice the time? 1:40AM? sigh.

Dear life, why can I never catch up? Please try to get back to normal soon. Thanks so much. Love me

A God of Miracles

I believe in miracles! See I'm going to be taking pictures at my sister-in-laws wedding in a few weeks but due to my recent camera upgrade (the warranty replaced my 50D with a 60D!!!!!) All of my accessories like the remote shutter control, battery grip, extra batteries, etc don't fit my new camera.

These are not necessities but they sure do make a photo shoot a lot easier. I decided that I would try to sell all of my old equipment and my Rebel camera to try and get enough money to buy the new pieces. I have NEVER had any luck selling things but this was kind of important to me so I tried it.

They had been on Craigslist and in a local camera store for weeks and I was starting to get worried because I had to order the new stuff if I wanted it to get here before the wedding. But there wasn't even anyone who was interested.

So yesterday I said a prayer and told Heavenly Father that it would really mean a lot if I could sell my stuff soon. Not a big deal right? But at the same time, to me it was.

Well today I woke up from putting Craig down for a nap (haha) to K.C. telling me someone was asking about my battery grip. He said he'd think about it and as soon as I hung up with him I got a text about my rebel and then a call from someone who said they'd pay cash for my rebel if I could meet them in 20 minutes! I was a little shocked! ME? Actually selling something from Craigs list? Wonder of wonders it actually happened!

But the neatest part was I was able to use the money to replace every single piece that no longer fit! It was enough with some left over! AND it will even get here before we leave for AZ. You can't tell me that my prayer wasn't answered!

It's so powerful to me when I have an experience like that where something so insignificant and unimportant, in the grand scheme of things, works out so perfectly and so completely. I feel so loved and it reminds me that God isn't there only for the BIG things. And that He really does want us to be happy, not just surviving but happy. I don't know it's almost more impacting to me when a personal and non-essential request is answered than the big ones, because then it's even more obvious that he loves ME and that He cares about what I feel. I'm so blessed.

What a wonderfully good day.

Family pictures and going home

So I finally got around to doing some of our own family pictures. Thanks wanda for all of your help. I'm excited to get to post them. (there are a few in the header) It was a near desaster because I miss calculated when the sun went down but we still got a few good ones!

AND...

We've been on the farm in NV for several weeks now and tomorrow we are going home. We've been helping with 3rd cutting and it has been lots of fun but I'm so excited to be in MY home again!

Epiphanie

So I found out about this company Epiphanie that makes cute camera bags. I want one so bad! They are seriously adorable. But even more than that they are giving away a camera this week and I dearly want to win it.

Do I ever win things? No. Do I still try? Yes!

So I'm putting in my honest effort and seeing if by chance this could be my lucky week. Cross your fingers for me! I would be a happy happy girl if I ended up with a new camera!

My Photography

I've been meaning to pick a name for my photography (business?) for a while. I'm not sure I'm ready to call it a full blown business but I've been having more and more people call me out of the blue and ask me to take their pictures so I decided that I needed something a little more official than... "I take pictures."

So after much brain storming and searching, only to find that EVERY photography name you can think of is already taken... including 'Celeste Hunt Photography,' and with some help from Wanda. I decided to call myself

Bee You Photography

So I drew a little bee, and tried to come up with a logo of sorts or at least something to put on the pictures as a water mark. This is what I cam up with.

And this is what it looks like on a photo.

I'm excited to finally have something to call myself at least. It's growing on me. The look might end up changing a little.

I don't know what do you think?

Family Fun

Fun with pictures!

(I'm actually laying on our grass!
It's almost like a lawn these days!)

When Craig saw this picture he said "ahh tender!"

As soon as I got up from this picture Craig went and sat down saying "take a picture of Eggo too!" and then he sat down and actually smiled without contorting his face as if he was in massive amounts of pain! This was kind of a big moment.

Just like mama.

But of course the funny faces came right back!

Then he asked for the camera and took this picture of me!

Lots of fun. I love my family.

Thanks K.C. for being a good sport and taking pictures of me. I love you with all my heart. I don't know how I ended up the luckiest girl on earth but I sure glad that I did.

It's nice to know that even if times are hard and things are scary that we will always have our family. How glad I am to know that we will be together for eternity!

Rain Storm

While driving home from AZ was trying the best I could to practice the photography tips that Kaylea had given me while there. It wasn't exactly the ideal environment because the sun was going down and I was in a moving car. So composing a picture and not getting the traffic on the other side of the freeway in it was tricky. I think I finally started to get the hang of it and Shot all of these shots on the Manual setting. Go me.

I love this one!
Splashes of rain from the windshield wipers.
These were extra tricky because the camera was trying to focus on the mountains and cars, not the windshield, so I manually focused them too.
AZ Sunsets

I guess when you're stuck in a car there's always something you can do to amuse yourself! Craig was pretty cute too, after I'd take a picture he'd want to see it and say:

"Mommy, Eggo see it, please, okay."

I was happy with how well they did turn out because usually taking pictures from inside the car through the dirty glass is just a ridiculous waste of time. Especially given the fact that the things you're trying to take pictures of are flashing past you at rapid speeds along with the other things that you're trying to avoid like cars and trucks and stuff.

Fun With Pictures

A while ago I took pictures of this family. (O.K. so it was more than just a while ago, more like a few months ago.) Anyways, I finally stopped being a slacker and did something with them. It was lots of fun.

I'm not sure why but it seems like I can never get around to editing the pictures I take for a VERY long time. It's not that I don't like doing it, it's just that, well I guess I just get distracted! Such is life. Sorry if you end up waiting on me! :) Just keep giving me friendly reminders and eventually it will get done.

Little Miss

So lately when ever I sit down in front of a computer the first thing on my mind is not, blogging. But I had a little snatch of time so I thought I'd post some pictures of an adorable little girl. Keep in mind, I didn't have a lot of time so I didn't spend the time I could have on some of the editing. Still, I think they're so cute!

Thank Shannon for letting me play. You have a cute little girl!

Family Photo Fun

Several weeks ago I got to take pictures of this cute family. They have not one, or two, but three babies! That's right, triplets! And then an older boy too. It was lots of fun. Here are a few of my favorites.

I have so much fun doing this. And I just finished taking pictures of all of their extended family (on one side:) so there might be a few steak peaks at those.

Prom

No, Not me, my brother just went to prom. Although K.C. and I might as well have gone. We did everything with him and his group except go to the dance. He asked me if I would take pictures of everyone for them so they could save a little money and not have to buy them at the dance. I was excited for the opportunity, especially since I haven't really taken any pictures of groups.

They were really really cool kids. I was very impressed. And they were very fun to take pictures of. We started the day around 6 when we took them all repelling. That lasted till 2. Then we rushed home and barely squeaked into a birthday party, while they all got ready. Then we rushed back to Hurricane area where we met them to take pictures. That lasted till almost 8 (after everyone finally got there). And then they had us come to their dinner with them.

It was tons of fun. AND I found the coolest spot EVER for pictures. It's this really old school building that's falling apart. It was perfect.

I haven't had a chance to edit all of the pictures but here's a few of the fun ones. I hope they like them!
